That’s why Rugged Ridge has custom designed this Skid Plate to protect the gas tank on 1987- 06 Wranglers. This overbuilt skid plate is a must for those who want that extra bit of protection for their off road adventures. Constructed of durable 3/16” thick powdercoated steel with a rust resistant ECoating, this Skid Plate is designed to take whatever the trail throws at you! Bolt-on installation using existing frame mounting locations. This skid plate replaces the factory skid plate.

Designed to fit with all Rugged Ridge front bumpers (looks amazing with the XHD Bumper system!) or all factory front bumpers, this skid plate provides protection for all front steering components including the very expensive electric sway bar disconnect system found on Rubicon models. Easy to install frame mount design incorporates special gussets and welded brackets to ensure long life and great off road performance.

Constructed of durable 3/16” thick powdercoated steel with a rust resistant E-Coating, this skid plate will keep rocks and trail debris from damaging your steering box. The low profi le design keeps ground clearance at a maximum. Installation uses existing mounting locations.
